Emeril has been around forever and a lot of us grew up learning how to cook watching his Food Network shows.  I have a soft spot in my heart for the fact that my husband and I enjoyed our first fine-dining experience at Emeril's Delmonico, and to this day it ranks as one of my top five meals ever.  This cookbook is really fun, but in reality it's more than a cookbook...it's a lovingly written essay on how folks in New Orleans celebrate Christmas.  Kudos to Mr. Lagasse for his dedication to bringing folks together all year 'round.
