This beautifally photographed and well planned combination cookbook and history book is a gem. The history of the home, Kenmore, in Fredricksberg, Va, is facinating by the sheer fact that George Washington's sister, Betty, and her husband,Fielding Lewis lived there, and George was a frequent visitor, and dinner guest throughout his adult life, as well as Mary Ball Washington. The recipes are authentic, but modernized for the "today" cook, and are very palatable.
